THE Editor begs to express his sincere thanks to the numerous members of the profession who have adopted his "First French Book " for their elementary classes. He has carefully corrected in the present edition some slight defects, and added to the volume, for the greater convenience of the young student, a list of some of the most useful irregular verbs.
