The movable festivals, with the exception of Adrant Sunday, are determinod by Easter, which is the first Sunday next after the full-moon that follows the twenty-first of March, but if this full-moon happen on a Sunday, Easter will be the next Sunday after.
Septuagesima is nine weeks, Sexagesima eight weeks, Quinquagesima seven weeks, and the first week in Lent six weeks, respectively, before Easter. AsbWednesday is the Wednesday after Quinquagesima, Ascension Day is forty days, Whitsunday seven weeks, and Trinity Sunday eight weeks, respectively, after Easter.
Advent Sunday is always the nearest Sunday to the thirtieth day of November, whetber before or after.
Christmas always falls on the twenty-fifth of December, Epiphany on the sixth of January, and Good Friday in the week preceding Easter.
All days appointed, by proper Ecclesiastical or Civil authority, for fasting or thanksgiving, are to be duly respected and observed.
