FOREWORD

Mr. Leeming's common sense statement of the principles of behavior,—for that is what his book "Imagination-Mind's Dominant Power" really is, offers, it seems to me, a much needed answer to the question "How will I set to work to direct myself?" Every man who reads it must see himself under constant scrutiny. He must recognize and understand the basis for other people's behavior toward himself, as well as his behavior towards others. The reader will get, perhaps for the first time, a sound conception of the mind-quality "Imagination"—that wonderful faculty by the help of which any man may take the materials at hand-his own experience, his disposition, health, education and initiative, and project a new program, or objective, for himself which will bring satisfaction and a more useful life.

Aside from my belief that this book will make easier the work of all those whose responsibility it is to help men to help themselves, I have another and even more personal interest in it. For many years the author has been working side by side with me and I have seen him
