He soon caught the Gingerbread Boy and began to eat him.

The poor little Gingerbread Boy said,
"Oh, dear, I am quarter gone!
Oh, dear, I am half gone!

Oh, dear, I am three-quarters gone!
Oh, dear, I am all gone!"

And he never spoke again.
