It may be further remarked, that the Verbs of the first Conjugation may be nearly brought under one rule, viz. That all Verbs where the last fyllable is preceded by the dipthongs aa, ee, u, oo, uu, are of the first Conjugation.

Of the fecond Conjugation, are thofe, where the Infinitive of the Verbs are preceded by fome Prepofition, as aan, af, neder, by, na, op, onder, open, weg, door, uit, in, toe, which Prepofitions come after their Verbs in the present, past, and the first person of the Imperative, and in all other Tenfes before.
