2. Comment on these passages, stating any varieties of reading or interpretation which deserve to be noticed.

3. Write notes on the etymology and application of the names Hiddekel, Cherubim, Zaphnath Paaneah, giving also the original Hebrew form of each of these words.

4. Give the original of the following:-"The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come, and to him shall the gathering of the people be."
