UNDER the above title Messrs. Hachette issue a series of the best French plays, belonging to the classical and also to the modern or romantique schools. Each dramatic work is carefully annotated, and preceded by a critical and biographical introduction. The list will ultimately include not only the acknowledged master-pieces of Molière, Corneille, and Racine, but choice specimens from the writings of Beaumarchais, Piron, Regnard, Voltaire, Marivaux, &c., &c.

The volumes will be edited by some of the most eminent French Masters in this country.
